Maria Lassithiotaki

Maria Lassithiotaki was born and raised in Crete. She studied Law at the University of Athens, and after many years of professional experience she turned to Psychology. She participated in the entrance exams of the Department of Psychology at the University of Crete, from which she graduated.

She works as a psychologist, choosing to combine and use the Legal Thought, the Argument and the Persuasion strategies in Communication and in Personal Development. In line with the aforementioned concepts, she organizes psychotherapeutic groups and lectures, and provides voluntarily advisory services to kindergartens and non profitable organisations.

She continues to study and get training in every opportunity, "here and now", on the Systemic approach, Cognitive-Behavioral approach, Existentialism, Psychodynamic theories and other popular and unpopular approaches.

In her spare time she enjoys going to the theatre and to the cinema, reading, writing and travelling to visit her children who live abroad. Occasionally she participates in TV programs and writes psychological articles for magazines and newspapers.







 

Sofia Karakasi

Born and raised in Athens, Sofia graduated in 1995 from the Classical Lyceum of Anavryta and was awarded the 1st scholarship for successful entry at the Communication and Mass Media Department of Panteion University. Aiming at combining her keen interests in communication and psychology, she studied Social & Organisational Psychology (MSc) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Her professional experience entails several positions of responsibility, which combined communication (internal and corporate) with human resource management, in corporations of different sizes and business sectors (banking, high-tech industry, consulting services, publishing, public relations). Highly valuable was her experience as editor-in-chief of a Human Resources magazine, which offered her the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the challenges and trends of the field, as well as to interview global thinkers, senior managers and HR professionals in Greece and the world.

Believing in the value of constant personal and professional improvement, she attended during 2008-2009 an annual program in Executive Coaching & Organisational Development, certified by the international reputable organisation Association for Coaching.

She speaks English, French, German and Spanish. She loves hiking, traveling, cinema, music and creative writing.
